This site is still in its infancy, what you see now will continue to develop over the coming months into a useful and entertaining website. Our aim is to provide a platform for Glaswegians and Glasgow businesses, and indeed anyone who has an interest in the 'Dear Green Place'. We love Glasgow, that’s one of the reasons we have spent the time to build this site. We hope that you will enjoy and return frequently to Glazgow.com. Below is a guide as to just some of the ideas that we hope to include both now and in the future. Please feel free to let us know what you think, good or bad, we welcome any criticisms, suggestions or corrections that you may have. If there is something in the site that annoys you, or a glaring omission, chances are it annoys others, so please do let us know.

The home page will have a travel section in which you can book accommodation within the Glasgow area. We also plan to guide you to the best deals on holidays from Glasgow. We also are in the process of giving you the facility to easily build your very own web page with your own e-mail addresses, at an easily affordable price.

News and Views

This section is really going to focus on the local issues that don’t get the coverage they deserve. There are also links to all the main Scottish papers who cover both national and local stories. We want to highlight things that local people feel strongly about. What’s good about Glasgow, like the new exciting Glasgow Harbour Project. Alternatively, there is a pulling no punches section on what’s bad about Glasgow. Take for example that waste of money nearly new fountain in Whiteinch, that is now an eyesore having already been predictably vandalised. Who made that decision? We should know. What about Glasgow’s ever growing population of beggars populating the city centre, and what can be done about them. We could go on and on, and we will, so help us out.

Is the greenery of Glasgow's West End being put at risk by the Council and greedy housing developers? Take for example the fight between so called executive flat developers and locals trying to save a park in Thornwood. It seems that money matters far more than the greenery that gave Glasgow it’s name.

Glasgow is famous for it’s wide range of fabulous places to eat out. Indeed we have two world renowned chefs in Nick Nairn and Gordon Ramsay. We will be adding more and more restaurants in the future. If you have a restaurant that you would like to see listed then get in touch by e-mail. Glasgow has always been famous for it’s drinking culture, thankfully these days for all the right reasons. Few places can compete for friendliness, atmosphere and er, drinking power, not forgetting that famous Glasgow humour. Especially at the weekends. This section will also be added to over the coming months.
